Iraqi Medical Societies Unite in Baghdad for Joint Symposium on Osteoporosis and Endocrine Disorders
As part of interdisciplinary collaboration aimed at enhancing daily practice and improving patient care, Baghdad hosted a significant scientific event today, bringing together two key pillars of the Iraqi medical system. The Iraqi Society for Diabetes and Endocrinology, in partnership with the Iraqi League for Bone and Joint Health, held a joint scientific event on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Al-Nahrain University College of Medicine, with distinguished support and sponsorship from the pharmaceutical company Labatec.
This joint medical collaboration represents a significant step toward integrating the expertise of endocrinologists and rheumatologists, aiming to highlight metabolic bone disorders and their associated complications.
The symposium focused on establishing standardized treatment protocols to ensure the early diagnosis of osteoporosis and endocrine disorders and to mitigate fracture risks—ultimately benefiting the quality of life for Iraqi patients and enhancing daily clinical practice.
